6 Tips to STOP Listening to Other People's Opinions Weigh on You

Every single day we are bombarded with other people's opinions. Not always about ourselves either. We see the comment sections on posts + see people dragging strangers on the internet. The audacity people have being a piece of technology is mind blowing honestly.

It's pretty easy to let those opinions affect you personally. They can vary from our looks to our jobs, our love lives to our gender, and so on. It's so much for one person to handle. That's a big reason that I am so outspoken, create the products I do, and tend to get in trouble on social. Because I'm not afraid to say shit back to them. Unfortunately the powers that be on social, don't like it. Hence why I've lost our old account. ::eye roll::

6 tips for how to stop letting other people's opinions influence you:

  1. Remember that everyone has their own biases and perspectives. It's important to consider other people's opinions, but ultimately you need to make decisions that are right for you.

  2. Practice self-awareness. Pay attention to your own thoughts and feelings, and try to understand why you feel a certain way. This can help you develop a stronger sense of self and be less swayed by others' opinions.

  3. Set boundaries. It's okay to let people know that you value their opinions, but that you also need to make your own decisions. This can help you feel more in control of your life and less affected by other people's opinions.

  4. Seek out a diverse range of opinions. Exposure to a variety of perspectives can help you develop your own opinions and become less swayed by any one person's view.

  5. Trust your own judgment. It's important to have confidence in yourself and your ability to make good decisions. Believe in your own strengths and abilities, and don't be afraid to stand up for what you believe in.

  6. Seek professional help if needed. If you are struggling with low self-esteem or are overly influenced by others' opinions, it may be helpful to speak with a therapist or counselor. They can provide support and guidance as you work on building your own self-confidence and decision-making skills.

Now, this is obviously more aligned with people you are experiencing in your daily life, personally. It's usually family, or friends. Ultimately, whatever you do in this life is and should be up to you. No one else. Remember that in the end, it's just you on that deathbed. Live your life as such.

The same thing goes for online. Remember that these trolls sitting behind phones and computers, are obviously ugly as fuck. At least they are on the inside, because who actually sits there being a dick to strangers on the internet and is a good person? NOPE. They're a gremlin + you need to remember that.

None of these people, family included, have an decision in how you live your life. They THINK they do. Especially family, they think they're entitled to that. They're not. You are your own person. Do whatever, love whomever, and just be whatever the fuck you wanna be.
